Amann Group has constructed a cutting-edge production facility in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, 270km northeast of Shanghai with the aim of better serve the Chinese market’s needs and accelerating delivery times.
The sewing and embroidery thread manufacturer’s Amann Twisting (Yancheng) Co Ltd has a twisting capacity of about 2,700 tonnes of thread per year from polyester or polyamide filaments.
Amann Sewing Threads Co Ltd – a state-of-the-art thread production facility with fully automated dye house – has a capacity of 3,000 tonnes a year and offers customer-specific dyeing, or dye-to-match, which is in strong demand in Asia, according to the company.
All manufacturing is carried out to European quality standards and will be certified to ISO 9001, according to Amman Group.
Amann Bangladesh Ltd, a joint venture with the Standard Group, will enable the Amann Group to penetrate a further emerging market in textiles with significant growth potential. To this end, the company is building a new fully-integrated production facility in Mawna, Gazipur, which will have an annual capacity of 3,000 tonnes.
From 2013, the new factory will produce top quality sewing thread in line with Amann’s German quality standards.
A new production site in India is also on the drawing board. Amann’s sales operation is currently run from offices and warehouses in Chennai, Bangalore and Delhi.
Amann Group will exhibit at Texprocess 2011 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 24-27 May in hall 5.1 at stand B71.
