Very Poor

Asian viscose staple prices remained flat on the week as the Chinese Lunar New Year approached and cotton spinning mills there will be offline and viscose producers will stop delivery. Most viscose producers were carrying out their previous orders, and some customers replenished materials at lower prices expecting prices to go up post holidays in China.
Viscose filament markets changed marginally on cost support and downstream buyers picking up volumes, although in smaller size, for stocking before the festival in China. Offtake improved including that of filament grade in high denier like 250D and 300D as well as regular ones like 120D. Upstream, Asian dissolving pulp markets remained firm with mainstream offers at US$1,115-1,145 a ton, with the high end at US$1,180 a ton. Imported dissolving pulp sustained strength with hardwood pulp traded at US$860-870 a ton.
