Returning again this year, Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics offers something for everyone in the apparel fabrics industry. Over 1,300 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions will display their latest products across 50,000 sqm of exhibition space in the China International Exhibition Centre.

Not just a trade fair, Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics is the place to find the latest trend inspirations and market news. The Spring / Summer 2014 trends will be displayed in the Trend Forum in hall 3, which is designed this year by Nelly Rodi, an Intertextile Directions Trend Committee member from Paris. While the Fabrics China Trend Forum in halls 1A2 and 8A will showcase the latest suiting and ladieswear fabric trends.

This year also sees an expanded seminar programme, with speakers from around the world providing the latest information on a range of topics. These include design and trends, market information and business strategy, technology and solutions, and certification and testing.

Larger SalonEurope reflects growing demand in China for ‘made-in-Europe

This year sees over 1,300 exhibitors take part, including nearly 1,000 from China and more than 350 from overseas. Part of the rise is due to an increase in size in SalonEurope which covers 6,000 sqm in halls 2 and 3, 20% more than last year. Here visitors can find the Milano Unica pavilion from Italy, the Portuguese pavilion, and individual exhibitors from France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK. Exhibitor numbers in SalonEurope are up 36% this year.

Other country / region pavilions include Korea, with 52 exhibitors, Pakistan featuring seven exhibitors, and Taiwan which will showcase 31 exhibitors, plus a special Japan zone which groups 16 Japanese exhibitors together in hall 4. And other overseas suppliers are featured in halls 2 to 5.

New “Verve for Design” zone showcasing up-to-the-minute creative designs

Featured for the first time this year is the Verve for Design textile designer zone in hall 3. This debut area features inspirational and creative ideas for textile design, with a particular focus on mid-range and high-end products.

Occupying part of hall 5 are cotton, knitted fabrics, lace and embroidery, and silk suppliers from China, Hong Kong, India, Korea and Pakistan. At the Accessories Hall, also located in hall 5, Chinese and overseas exhibitors will display buttons, labels, lace and embroidery, zippers and much more.

A large range of domestic exhibitors can be found in hall 1 and halls 5 to 8, grouped by product end-use including suiting, ladieswear, lingerie / swimwear, functional wear / sportswear, casualwear, denim and accessories.

In addition to Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics, two other trade fairs are running concurrently: Yarn Expo Spring (27 – 29 March) and the China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC) (26 – 29 March) which is organised by CNTAC and CNGA. A free shuttle bus service is provided throughout the three fairs.
