ShanghaiTex 2013. The exhibition not only gathered the latest technological achievements and led textile machinery and equipment for the next 5-10 years, but also provided the best sourcing and exchange platform for industry buyers to learn top-notch technology and get creative inspiration.

The 4-day show recorded 53,183 local and overseas professional trade visitors and buyers from 79 countries and regions visited and sourced at the show, in which 9.7% were overseas visitors. Top 10 countries were: Korea, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, Turkey and Thailand.

Worldwide VIP Guests Gathered at ShanghaiTex 2013

During the opening day, Mr. Yang Ji Chao, Vice President of China Textile Industry Association, Mr. Xi Shi Ping, Chairman of Shanghai Textile Association, Mr. Wang Lie, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-council, Mr. Du Shuang Xin, President of Shanghai Textile Technology Service & Exhibition Center, Mr. Feng Ya Pei, Vice President of Shangtex Holding Co Ltd, Mr. Stanley Chu, Chairman of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and Mr. Gu Chun Ting,

President of Shanghai International Exhibition Co Ltd. joined together with other honorary guests to attend the show. They visited and learnt the latest products of key exhibitors.

Despite the downward trend of the current textile market development and the clashing of ShanghaiTex 2013's show dates with the Chinese "Dragon Boat Festival" holiday, buyers continued showing confidence in the Chinese economy and ShanghaiTex.

The show attracted numerous buyers and it reaffirmed the role of ShanghaiTex as the world's top textile machinery exhibition. At the show, printing, knitting, digital printing machinery as well as equipment with environmental friendly, automatic features were the most concerned. The transaction amounts received by some exhibitors were over pre-show expectation.
